Manage Units of Measure

Admin Users can add, edit their own, or delete units of measure. A unit of measure can be associated with parts.

Guide - Add New Unit of Measure

  1. From the Admin Settings module, click the Manage Modules tab.

  2. From the Reference Lists section, select Units of Measure.

  3. Click the +Unit Measure button in the top right corner to open the Add Unit of Measure form.

  4. Type the new measure name in the Name field.

  5. Type the short name of the unit of measure.

  6. Hit Save and the new measure jumps in alphabetical order to the Unit Of Measure list.

Guide - Edit Unit of Measure

Default units of measure to the program can't be edited, only deleted. To edit your customized units of measure, see the following steps.

  1. Hover your mouse over the row of the unit you want to edit, then click on the edit icon to open the Edit Unit of Measure window.

  2. Click in the field you want to edit, then hit Save to keep changes or Discard Changes to cancel and close the window.

Guide - Delete Unit of Measure

  1. Hover your mouse over the row of the unit you want to delete, then click on the edit icon.

  2. From the Edit Unit of Measure, click Delete.

  3. Hit the Delete Unit of Measure button to confirm or Cancel to the exit window.

    Now you can associate the unit of measure to your parts from the Inventory & Parts module when you add or edit a new part.
