An asset code is a unique number assigned to an asset for easy tracking, management, and identification purposes. System Admin users can add Asset Codes information to the program when using the Assets module. An Asset code field can be made visible and required for asset data entry.

Admin users can click on Admin Settings from the main menu.
Select the Manage Modules tab.
From the Settings section, select Assets to open the Assets configuration page.
Locate Assets Codes from the list and toggle on if you want the field visible on the Asset form.
If visible, decide if the Asset Codes field should be toggled on and required when entering asset details.
Hit Save to keep the changes. The Asset Code field is now included on the asset form and is marked with a red asterisk if required.
If Asset Codes are made visible, then you can see the Asset Code column in the Assets module list view. Learn more about customizing your list view settings here. |
