Add and Edit Assets

Enter and edit your equipment details to create work orders and keep track.

Guide - Add

  1. Click on Assets from the main menu to open the module.

  2. Click the +Asset button in the top right corner to open the New Asset form.

  3. Add the *required fields plus any option fields of information.

Admin Users can customize which fields of information are on the form and which are made mandatory from the Admin Settings module.

  • Upload Images - Add files/docs/images related to the asset

  • *Asset Name - unique name of equipment to maintain and track

  • Description - equipment details up to 1,000 characters

  • Location - physical place where the asset is placed

  • Asset Type - to group your equipment together based on kind

  • Model - unique number used to differ product types

  • Manufacturer - name of company who made the asset

  • Serial Number - Unique number for each asset

  • Purchase Date - day the asset was bought

  • QR Code - barcode with data read by machine or mobile

  • Assign to - technician associated to asset

  • URL - link associated with asset such as manufacturing website

  • Vendors - contractor responsible for work on asset and warranty

  • Parts - replacements made that are associated with the asset

4. Click Save in the form. The asset jumps in alphabetical order to the list view of the Asset module.

Guide - Edit

Just like any other module, the list view has multiple features to help you find and customize specifics such as Filters, Search, and Settings.

  1. Click on the Asset name from any row to open the Asset Detail card.

  2. Click the Edit button to open the Edit Asset form and modify details.

3. Hit the Save button to keep modifications or click Cancel to dismiss and close.

Notice the +Work Order button when you open an Asset Detail card. This allows you to view asset information and quickly create a work order, if needed.
