Add a Floor Plan
Floor plans can be an entire floor of your property or individual rooms, depending on what maps you have. Each map can have pins to show where assets and locations are on a map and the work order or request that goes with them.

Select the Floor Plans module from the main menu.
Click the +Floor Plan button to open the New Floor Plan form.
Upload or click and drag a floor plan image (JPG, PNG, WEBP, SVG) from your computer. PDFs can easily be changed to supported file types with free and easy tools like this.
Give the Floor Plan a name, something that is easily recognized by users.
From the dropdown list, select the location the floor plan map is for. This dropdown list comes from the data in the Locations module.
Click Save to view and start mapping the floor plan.
Note floor plans filed can't exceed 8500x8500. |
Pin a Floor Plan
To make the floor plan interactive, Admin users can add, edit, or remove pins.

From the Floor Plans module, click the View Floor Plan button from the list view Name column to open.
Click the Map Floor Plan button to open the Manage Floor Plan drawer.
Select either the Locations or Assets tab in the Manage Floor Plan drawer.
Use the keyword search field in combination with either the Plotted, Unplotted, or All buttons to view lists.
To add a pin - select the Unplotted button.
Individual - click on the image icon next to the name, then click on where the location or asset is located on the map. You can also click on a name and drag it.
Bulk - click on the box next to Name in the the Name column header to select all items in the list. Then click or drag to the area on the map where the pins belong.
Pro Tip: First, make sure your locations are plotted. The, click on the Quick Plot icon to automatically add the asset pins to their locations on your floor plan. |
Edit Pins
An Admin user can open a floor plan and move pins around.

From the Floor Plans module, click on the View Floor Plan button from the Name column.
Click the Map Floor Plan button.
Click on any pin on the map and move it to the correct or new place on the map.
Click the Exit Mapping Mode button to save and get back to the interactive floor plan mode.
Remove a Pin
Admin users can remove pins from maps.

From an open map floor plan and the Manage Floor Plan drawer, select either the Locations or Assets tab.
Select the Unplotted button to view the list of pins.
Click on the X pin icon next to the name in the list.
From the Unplot pin? window, select the Yes, unplot button to confirm you want to remove the pin or select Cancel to close the window.
Click the Exit Mapping Mode button to get back to the open, interactive floor plan.
Add New Location or Asset from a Floor Plan
Admins users can add new locations or assets to the program from any open mapping floor plan drawer.
From the Floor Plans module, click on a View Floor Plan button to open.
Click the Map Floor Plan button.
From the Location tab drawer page, select the +Location button to open the New Location form. Likewise, you can do the same and add a new asset from the Asset tab and the +Asset button.
Fill in the form and then pin the icon to the floor plan when selected under Unplotted.
You can find all the new location or new asset details in the Locations or Assets module.
Click on the Exit Mapping Mode button when done to close and get back to viewing the interactive floor plan.
Edit Floor Plan Image
Admin can edit or update a floor plan. Pins remain in place of original floor plan and should be moved to align with new floor plan uploaded.

From the Floor Plans module, click on a floor plan name to open the detail card.
Click the Edit button.
Hover over existing image and click Delete.
Upload new image to the Floor plan detail card.
Hit the Save button.
Delete Floor Plan
Admin can delete a floor plan. This means you're deleting all the pins associated with it. You are not deleting any asset and location details, work orders, or requests.
