Parts reconciliation is to match your physical inventory with system records. Admins and Limited Admins users can easily reconcile parts from the Part Details card. Every save creates a Reconcile transaction to see who made the change and why. Here are the steps to using the Reconcile button and quickly update your inventory.

Select the Inventory & Parts module from the main menu.
Click on the name of a part you want to reconcile, to open the Part Detail card.
Click the Reconcile button to open the Reconcile part window.
Use the + button to increase the amount or the - button to decrease the amount on hand.
You must add a short note about why you changed the count.
Hit the Submit button to save or Cancel to not keep the changes.
The Parts Transactions table gets a new Reconcile row that shows the details of the change for others to review.
Click on the Details link in the history transaction to view details about the transaction or note to see message.

Also, note Admin users can edit unit and average cost from the Part details card when they click on the edit icon. Unit Cost is the current price. Average Unit Cost is auto calculated with each restock transaction, but but can be edited.
