Work Orders Module Explained
Updated over 4 months ago

Work Order - a record of work to an asset, location, or piece of equipment. All data can be traced to a work order, creating a history for analyzing and improving operations. Work Orders are the core of the program. The more information you include on a work order the better.

Click Maint has two types of work orders:

  • Reactive - for unplanned, ad-hoc, unscheduled maintenance activity

  • Preventive - for regularly, reoccurring maintenance activity

The Work Orders Module is where you view, add, and edit all work orders. Like all other modules, which of these actions you can take depends on your User Role and permissions.

View - Work Orders Module - List View

When you first open the module, you see the List view. By default, you see work orders that are still open and need to be completed. You also see multiple features to help you change the list view.

Search bar across the top to enter key words to pull results from the list.

Filters help you display specifics in your list view. A number next to a filter means that category is in current use. For example, Status has all open work orders selected by default. Click on Status, then include Completed in the list view to see a work order history.

The Calendar is a nice option and visual to help organize your maintenance operations. Click on the Calendar tab to see a monthly calendar that displays work orders on the day they're due. Work Orders are displayed on a day in order of priority. If a work order has no due date, it doesn't display.

Create a Work Order

Click the +Work Order button to open the New Work Order form. Admin users can configure the fields on the form and can make them mandatory. The more information you provide on work orders, the better. Including images, specs, manuals, etc. is beneficial for your team and for building a work order history.

Once a work order is created, it's added to the List view. Only if the work order has a due date will it display in the Calendar view.
