Guide - Edit a Work Order

  1. From the Work Order module, click on the title of a work order to open.

  2. If you have the correct permissions, you can click Edit to open and change details to the original work order.

  3. From the Edit Work Order form click in the fields you want to edit and either type or select your changes from the dropdowns.

  4. Hit Save to keep or the Discard Changes button to cancel.

  5. Typically, Technicians change the Work Order itself. Click on a status button across the top or select from the dropdown to update the current situation of the work order.

  6. Scroll to the bottom of the work order to edit the following:

    • Time - Use the Start Timer button to calculate time. Click the Add Time button to manually enter time and rate. Multiple entries can be made.

    • Parts - Add parts used and quantity in association to the work order.

    • Other Cost - add any other costs associated to the work order, such as vendor charges. Upload invoices as needed.

    • Comments - add notes, messages, or reminders.

Guide - Close a Work Order

  1. Select either In Review or Completed.

    • Select In Review if Completed is unavailable. In Review means the technician considers the job done, but an Admin user may need to add details or give it a final review. Admins can put the work order back to Open if needed or switch to Completed status to close the ticket out.

    • The Completed status means the job is done; the details are added, and the work order can be closed.
