Create a Preventive Work Order

Create work order that automatically generate for all your regularly scheduled maintence.

There are two types of work orders - Reactive and Preventive.

  • Reactive - unplanned, adhoc maintenance work order, created manually. To learn more about Reactive, see the Create a Reactive Work Order article.

  • Preventive - reoccurring, regularly scheduled work order, auto-generated.

Guide

  1. From the Work Orders module, click the +Work Order button in the top right corner to open the New Work Order form.

  2. Add the *required fields of information, then any other option field.

Admin Users can customize which fields are included on the work order form and which are *required from the Admin Settings module.

  • Upload images - add files/docs/images about the work order

  • *Title - what the job is about

  • *Description - details about the job

  • Priority - level of severity or importance

  • Category - group or department

  • Assign to - technician to do the job

  • Work Type - select Preventive

    • Preventive - reoccurring, regularly scheduled work order, which is auto-generated.

  • Schedule

    • One-Time - one Preventive work order

    • Persistent - repeats regularly based on a calendar date

    • Floating - repeats on a time frame after the previously completed

  • Starting From - date in future the first ticket generates

  • Time to Complete - time frame the work order should be finished by

  • Location - where the work needs to be done

  • Asset - equipment to work on

  • Vendor - outside contractor

  • Checklist - multiple tasks to note and complete

  • Status - current situation of work order

  • Time - amount of time by technician

  • Parts - quantity and replacement needed

  • Other costs - invoice associated

3. Click the Save button in the top right corner of the form.
