Backdate Completed Work Orders

How an Admin user can edit a completed date on a work order

Any work order marked as Completed or In Review, Admin users can update the ‘Completed when’ field to an earlier date. This guide shows you how.

  1. Admin users select the Work Order module from the main menu.

  2. Use the Status quick filter and select Completed or In Review to display those work orders in the module's list view.

  3. Click the name of the work order you want to open and change the Completed when date of.

  4. Click the Edit button to open the Edit Work Order form.

  5. Click in the Completed When field and select a date from the calendar that accurately logs when the work order was done. Use the back arrow if needed to change the months and year.

  6. Hit Save to keep or hit Discard Changes to got back.

Any back dates work order is logged in the History tabe by who and when. It also changes the results in yoru Completed Reports and KPIs.

  • Work orders that are backdated now change the Completed date therefore the results to your Completed vs. Created report and KPIs.
